LIMONCELLO
The classic Italian liqueur that has its roots in farmhouse traditions is one of our most frequently requested recipes.
Limoncello [Lee-mon-che-llo] is a lemon liqueur which originates from Southern Italy. It is made from lemon rinds (traditionally from the Sorrento lemon, though most lemons will produce good limoncello), alcohol, water and sugar. It is bright yellow in colour, sweet and lemony, but not sour since the traditional version contains no lemon juice.
Here is a couple of recipes that produces an excellent result without the hit & miss variations that occur with the old farmhouse recipes.
